Fabrication Shop Industrial Painter Responsibilities:

Prepare unit and/or parts for paint process.
Apply coatings according to product data sheets using full range of application methods.
Performs painting process in accordance with required quality standards.
Proper labeling and storage of paint and painting products.
Clean and maintain all painting equipment, filters, and paint booth.
Requisitions paint and other related supplies to maintain correct inventory level.
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
Timely completion of all assigned projects.
Properly dispose of hazardous paint and paint waste materials.
Working in shop running saw or helping with getting jobs prepared for fabrication when there is no painting.

Experience/Requirements:

Must have one year experience with industrial painting
Continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required
Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable standing 8-12 hours a day, lifting 50 lbs., working from ladders, heights, and in all types of weather
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening including a drug test and background check, where applicable.

Travel may include being gone for extended periods of time depending on the project location and time to complete the job. Extended regional area travel may be up to three weeks gone before coming home. Other jobs, travel may be defined as leaving on Sunday evening or Monday morning and coming home Friday. Traveling for jobs outside of the regional area may mean you will be gone for longer than three weeks. While Yoe does try its best to rotate and use a Travel on/Travel off schedule of working out of town for a while and then working local jobs for a break, we cannot always guarantee we have local work available.
